Summer might be over, but we’re shaking off the back-to-school blues with our newest Electric Forecourt®.
Yes, we’ve officially opened the doors (and plugs) on Stevenage Electric Forecourt®, our most rock and roll charging experience yet.
Located off junction 7 of the busy A1(M), you’ll find 30 new charging bays at the entrance of famous Knebworth House Estate – Britain’s premier music venue which has hosted icons such as the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Oasis and the record-breaking Robbie Williams in 2003.
The facility will provide visitors, festivalgoers, staff and local communities around the historic estate and in the wider Hertfordshire area the confidence to go electric.
Alongside 24 High Power bays with up to 360kW of power – some of the fastest chargers publicly available today, capable of adding up to 100 miles of range in ten minutes, you’ll also find Low Power AC chargers and standalone CHAdeMO units.
And of course, you can pay via contactless card and device or the new GRIDSERVE app or contactless card and device. The chargers are also powered by net zero carbon energy, supporting GRIDSERVE’s purpose to move the needle on climate change.
Inside, there’s a Costa Coffee, an EV Experience Zone upstairs and, coming soon, a Little Fresh ‘Good To Go’ convenience store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology.
We can’t wait for you to come and say hello and meet our new GRIDSERVE Gurus.
