GRIDSERVE Electric Highway powers 500 million miles of electric driving

This week marked a huge milestone, as the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway officially delivered enough energy to power 500 million electric vehicle miles.

Since we launched the network in 2020, we’ve been dispatching energy to customers at an ever-increasing rate.

In 2023, we delivered almost two million charging sessions, which helped power over 160 million zero emission miles.

Now with more than 190 locations and 1,500 charging bays making up the network, we’ve raced to the half a billion landmark.

Great news for our customers but great for the planet, too. Those EV miles mean over 130,000 tonnes of CO2 has been saved compared to driving those same miles in a petrol or diesel car.

To put that into context, that’s roughly equivalent to the amount of energy the homes in a small town use in a year, or the same as growing two million trees for a decade.

And we’re not stopping there. We’ve just opened our latest Electric Forecourt® in Stevenage, with more and more High Power Electric Super Hubs and Electric Retail Hubs opening every month.

Plus our new app makes it easier than ever to find our sites on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, as well as charge, pay and monitor your session.

Here’s to hitting one billion EV miles.
