Frequently asked questions
Simply download the GRIDSERVE app from the Apple Store or Google Play and register your account details. You’ll need to provide your name, email address and a valid payment card that will need to be verified, but then you’ll be able to charge your vehicle anywhere on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway in just a few taps of your phone.
Yes. You can add multiple payment cards into your wallet, regardless of whether you have downloaded the Apple or Google version of the GRIDSERVE app.
The GRIDSERVE app works separately to your car’s infotainment system. For navigation requests, however, the coordinates for any of our EV charging locations can be shared via Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze. This means that if you have smartphone mirroring (Apple CarPlay or Android Auto) available on your car, you can use the car’s infotainment screen to navigate to your preferred EV charger.
As we mentioned above, you’re not actually tied into any carmaker’s ecosystem as the GRIDSERVE app is its own thing. That’s great because it means it works with whatever car you’re driving. With smartphone mirroring (Apple CarPlay or Android Auto), however, you can use the car’s infotainment screen to navigate to your preferred EV charging location via Apple Maps, Google Maps or Waze.
Your last 12 EV charging sessions will also be documented within your ‘charging activity’ folder so you can see when and where you charged and how much it cost. Receipts will be automatically emailed to you after every EV charging session, so don’t worry about having to download receipts.
1. The Promoter
The promoter is: GRIDSERVE [EMEA DEPC Ltd], Thorney Weir House, Thorney Mill Road, Iver SL0 9AQ (GRIDSERVE).
2. The Promotion
2.1. The title of the promotion is [“Charge via the app for 20% off”] (the Promotion).
2.2. The Promotion consists of a 20% discount (or the next round penny, whichever is more) (the Discount) available for eligible customers who pay for charging services using the GRIDSERVE App (a Purchase).
2.3. Please note the Promotion only applies to charging services on the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway and not to other purchases made on GRIDSERVE premises.
2.4. The Purchase is also subject to (i) the GRIDSERVE Charging Terms and Conditions and (ii) the GRIDSERVE Mobile App Terms and Conditions.
3. Eligibility
3.1. The Promotion is only open to UK residents aged 18 years or over, who hold a valid UK driver’s licence.
3.2. The Promotion is only open to customers who make a Purchase using the GRIDSERVE App.
3.3. The Promotion will last from 00:00 GMT on Monday 1 July 2024 (the Opening Date) to 23:59 GMT on Monday 30 September 2024 (the Closing Date). The Discount will only be applied to Purchases made within this period (the Promotion Period).
3.4. The Purchase must be placed within the Promotion Period. All purchases placed before the Opening Date, or after the Closing Date are automatically disqualified.
3.5. For the avoidance of doubt, if a customer begins their charging session before midnight on the Closing Date and the charging session ends after midnight this Purchase will deemed within the Promotion Period and the Discount will be applied. Charging sessions which start at 00:00 on 1 September or later will be disqualified.
4. Data protection and publicity
4.1. GRIDSERVE will only process your personal information as set out in the Privacy Notice https://gridserve.com/legal-our-privacy-policy/.
5. General
5.1. By making a Purchase during the Promotion Period, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, GRIDSERVE may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to charge you the difference of the discounted amount.
5.2. GRIDSERVE reserves the right to withhold, void, suspend, cancel, or amend the Promotion where it becomes necessary to do so.
5.3. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
