GRIDSERVE CEO, Toddington Harper, has made a keynote speech at this year’s Climate Innovation Forum in London. Key influencers in the fight against climate change also took to the stage including Chris Skidmore MP, chair of the UK government’s Net Zero review, London Mayor Sadiq Kahn and HRH King Charles III.
Harper shared insights on developing a platform to deliver clean energy at speed and scale. GRIDSERVE’s groundbreaking products, including its Electric Forecourts® and advanced hybrid solar farms, have been instrumental in decarbonising transportation and giving drivers the confidence to go electric. Harper also took part in a roundtable with the King, the Mayor of London and other key figures to discuss collaboration and innovation to meet climate goals.
The Climate Innovation Forum took place on 28th June at Guildhall, London and brought together influential leaders, expert and innovators from various sectors to discuss the latest advancements in climate change solutions and sustainability to achieve Net Zero ambitions. A climate clock was activated by Mayor of London, Sadiq Kahn, and the King to warn the world that we have just six years and 24 days to limit global warming to 1.5C.
Toddington Harper said: “GRIDSERVE’s participation in the Climate Innovation Forum underscores the company’s commitment to sustainable development, driving positive change and contributing to the global effort to move the needle on climate change. The growth of our EV charging network, the GRIDSERVE Electric Highway, has picked up pace in the last 12 months, as we have now delivered over 200 High Power chargers across the UK and by the end of next month, over 50 sites will be in construction. By generating sustainable energy from the sun to power zero tailpipe emission electric vehicles, we can make a real difference to limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees.”
The Climate Innovation Forum serves as a global platform for fostering collaboration and driving impactful change in the fight against climate change. With the urgent need for innovative and scalable solutions, the event aims to inspire collective action to address the pressing environmental challenges facing the world.
