The iconic songs of Oasis once again electrified Knebworth Estate at an exclusive gig powered by electric vehicles to mark the opening of the new Stevenage Electric Forecourt®.
Oasis tribute act Supernova wowed guests with classics such as She’s Electric, almost 30 years after the legendary band held two record-breaking concerts to 250,000 people at the famous music venue on the same site and a year ahead of the much-anticipated reunion tour.
With over 8.5 million fans around the world missing out on Oasis tickets, GRIDSERVE brought Britpop back to Knebworth for the opening of its new Stevenage Electric Forecourt® on the A1(M), all powered by a Kia EV6 and Genesis GV60.
These two cars feature vehicle-to-load technology, which lets you power electronic devices from the car’s battery via a three-pin plug socket in the vehicle.
Supernova were able to plug in amps, microphones and lights to juice up their performance, which kicked off with the famous wall of sound that started the Knebworth concerts in 1996 and ended with the classic Wonderwall, via a unique version of She’s Electric.
Attendees to the grand opening were given a tour of GRIDSERVE’s new Stevenage Electric Forecourt® which has over 30 electric charging bays, including 24 High Power bays with up to 360kW of power, capable of adding 100 miles in just five minutes.
The new Stevenage Electric Forecourt® also offers a Little Fresh ‘Good To Go’ convenience store powered by Amazon’s Just Walk Out technology on-site and a Costa Coffee, as well as an EV Experience Zone and free WiFi.
